Puff Pastry with Chicken and Vegetables

- Ready-made puff pastry dough
- Chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper or any color available
- Fresh or canned mushrooms
- 1 cup green peas, fresh or frozen
- A pinch of curry powder
- Black pepper
- Salt
Method
- Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces, sauté them over the heat in a little vegetable oil in a nonstick pan.
- Add the onion, peppers, mushrooms and the remaining ingredients and spices to the chicken and cook them all over low heat, stirring.
- Cut the puff pastry rolls into lengthwise pieces. Place them in a glass oven dish greased with a little oil or butter.
- Place the larger piece of dough as the bottom layer and put the filling of fried chicken with onion, peppers, mushrooms and peas on top.
- Over the filling, arrange strips of puff pastry, one lengthwise and one crosswise, to form a lattice pattern as shown in the accompanying photo.
- Brush the puff pastry with egg or milk and bake the dish in the oven until it is cooked and golden.
