Spicy tuna tray bake that's so easy to make at home and a perfect solution when you're out of ideas or short on time... It tastes like the traditional spicy fish dish, but is much more economical. Give it a try.
Ingredients
- 2 cans tuna
- 3 potatoes, cut into cubes
- 1 bunch coriander, chopped
- 1 head garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon hot pepper molasses (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fish seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon finely ground garlic and coriander spices
- Salt, to taste
- 1 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon oil
Method
- First, fry the potato cubes in plenty of oil... lift them out of the oil and spread them in a pyrex dish or tray.
- In a frying pan, sauté the coriander and garlic in 1 tablespoon oil, then add the hot pepper molasses and spices and stir until softened.
- Add the tahini, lemon juice, water, and salt, stir, and leave to simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Distribute the tuna after draining it from the oil or water in the can, and spread it over the potatoes in the pyrex dish.
- Pour the tahini sauce over the tuna in the pyrex dish once it has finished simmering for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Turn on the oven broiler only and place the pyrex dish under it for 15 minutes, until the tuna takes on a nice color on top before serving.Timers: 15 min
