Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups lukewarm water
  • Salt
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • Pizza sauce:
  • 1 grated tomato (or 1 cup crushed tomatoes)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Olive oil
  • Tomato paste or concentrated tomato jam
  • Oregano (or wild thyme)
  • Toppings: mixed chopped vegetables (tomato, onion, bell pepper, olives, mushrooms)

Method

  1. Start preparing the pizza dough by mixing all the dry ingredients, then add the lukewarm water and yogurt.
  2. Knead the dough ingredients until you obtain a soft, smooth dough.
  3. Set the pizza dough aside to let it rise.
  4. Begin preparing the pizza sauce.
  5. Put olive oil on the heat with the onion and garlic and sauté briefly, then add the grated tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, oregano, and a little water.
  6. Stir the ingredients, cover, and let them simmer briefly until you get the sauce.
  7. Cut the dough into rounds according to the desired size, roll them out, spread with sauce, sprinkle with cheese and chopped vegetables, and place in a hot oven for several minutes until cooked.
