- Cook the rice and vegetables in the meat boiling water.

Method
- We boil the lamb shank pieces, and after removing the scum or white foam, we add the various seasonings: dried lime, bay leaf, cardamom pods, and cloves. Let the meat cook over low heat until fully done.
- Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil with the crushed garlic. Add the pepper and carrots, and if desired, add peas or corn, then the chopped tomatoes and kabsa spices. Stir the ingredients for a few minutes, then add the rice.
- Cook the rice and vegetables in the meat cooking broth.
- When the rice is done, transfer it to a wide serving dish and top with the meat pieces and fried nuts, as desired.
