Kofta with Tahini Sauce
Kofta with tahini is practical, quick and easy to prepare — and very, very tasty. It’s nice to vary preparation methods from time to time; there are endless options.
Kofta with tahini — an easy, quick recipe
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Half a kilo of kofta or kebab mince with parsley (ready from the butcher)
- Oil
- Onion
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup tahini
- Lemon juice to taste
- Salt to taste

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Form the kofta into balls and fry them in a little oil.
- In the same oil, fry the onion, finely chopped or in wedges, until they soften.
- Place the onions and kofta balls in a baking dish or Pyrex.
- Mix the yogurt, tahini, water, lemon juice and salt, then pour the mixture over the kofta.
- Put the dish in the oven so the sauce sets.
- Serve the kofta with tahini with plain rice or eat with bread; you can garnish with fried nuts.
