Chicken Stroganoff — Homemade
Chicken Stroganoff has become very popular across the Arab world thanks to its delicious flavor and easy preparation with ingredients found in most homes.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 medium onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 small can of mushrooms
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- Pinch garlic powder
- Pinch white pepper
- 1½ tablespoons butter
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup vegetable oil for frying the chicken
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons salt

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips lengthwise. Season with salt and white pepper, then coat the strips in the flour.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- Fry the chicken strips until cooked, then drain and set aside.
- Finely chop the onion and sauté it in the butter in a pot until it becomes translucent.
- Add the crushed garlic, stir, then add the fried chicken strips back to the pot.
- Add 1½ tablespoons of flour, the paprika, the chopped mushrooms, white pepper, and 3 cups of water.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes until cooked through.Timers: 15 min
- In the final stage add the heavy cream and cook a little longer until the sauce thickens and the flavors blend together.
- Pour the chicken stroganoff into a serving dish and serve hot with rice, noodles, or potato gratin.
