Grilled white tawook — very tasty and light
Ingredients
- Chicken breasts, filleted (bone removed) and cut into cubes
- Sweet green pepper — optional
- Marinade:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 garlic cloves
- Chicken seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt to taste
- Dried basil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons vinegar

Method
- Blend all the marinade ingredients in an electric blender until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
- Marinate the chicken pieces or cubes in the marinade for at least 2 hours.Timers: 120 min
- Thread the pieces of white tawook onto metal skewers or onto wooden skewers that have been soaked in water for at least half an hour so they will not burn during grilling.
- Thread pieces of chopped green bell pepper between the tawook pieces to add color to the skewers; it also tastes delicious.
