Method
- Wash the wheat with lukewarm water and leave it to soak in water for several hours before cooking. When it is time to cook the wheat, wash it again, drain it, place it in a pot with enough water to cover it, and let the wheat cook until tender.
- Wash the chicken and place it in a second pot to boil with the aromatics, but without the spices.
- Set aside a little of the chicken cooking broth and add the spices to it to release their flavor, but when you later add the spice mixture to the hareesa, put it through a strainer.
