- 2 medium potatoes with skins, washed and cut
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut
- 2 onions, cut into four

- 1 lemon with rind, cut into rounds

Method
- Place the vegetables in a cake pan, add the spices and olive oil, and mix well; then add lemon slices, rosemary (or aklil al-jabal), bay leaves, cardamom pods, and cinnamon sticks. Cover the center of the pan with cling film (Sanita) and place the seasoned chicken on top. Put the pan in the center of a preheated oven at the highest temperature for 1½ to 2 hours, depending on the oven, until the chicken is browned and the vegetables are cooked.
