Easy Marzipan
Marzipan, also known as almond paste in some regions, is a very easy dessert that doesn’t take long to make. Try Shoutabkhin Today’s easy and quick marzipan recipe.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- \n
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup peeled almonds, ground very finely \r\n3 drops of almond essence\r\nrose water
- rose water
- orange blossom water
- Note
- Be careful not to add too much rose water and orange blossom water or the dough will be too soft. We want the dough to be soft but not runny.
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Put the blanched almonds into the food processor and grind them very finely.
- Add the powdered sugar — you can also process the almonds and sugar together in the machine — then add almond extract (readily available in stores).
- Be careful not to add too much almond extract so the paste doesn't taste bitter. Just 3 drops.
- Also add a very small number of drops of orange blossom water and rose water.
- You will get a paste; cover it immediately so it does not dry out.
- You can shape the paste by hand into whatever forms you like or press it into molds to shape as desired.
- You can fill the marzipan with pistachio paste. Prepare the pistachio paste the same way as the marzipan paste, using the same ingredients but without almond extract.
- Leave the marzipan after shaping for about 8 to 12 hours until completely dry, then wrap and store them in the refrigerator (not the freezer).Timers: 720 min
- This recipe can keep at high quality for up to a full month and makes a lovely gift for gatherings — tastier than any store-bought marzipan :)
