Beef bulgur with meat—an extremely tasty dish of bulgur with meat, chickpeas, and onions

Ingredients

  • meat pieces or shanks
  • spices for boiling the meat: bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, and whole cloves
  • whole chickpeas
  • small dry onions
  • coarse bulgur
  • ground cinnamon
  • black pepper
  • seven-spice mix
  • salt to taste

Method

  1. Boil the meat pieces or shanks with the aromatics
  2. In another pot, cook the chickpeas that were soaked overnight
  3. Cook the small onions in a third pot
  4. When the meat, chickpeas, and onions are cooked, put them together in one pot and add some broth from each
  5. When the broth boils, add the bulgur and spices, stir, and leave them on low heat until the bulgur is cooked
