Fillet steak with rosemary — a wonderful recipe to cook a steak to ideal specifications!

Ingredients

  • 4 fillet steak pieces
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Steak seasoning
  • Black pepper
  • Rosemary
  • Bay leaf
  • Cardamom pods
  • Salt
  • Cooked white rice

Method

  1. Sear the fillet pieces briefly on the heat without any oil or seasoning just until the surface dries.
  2. In a separate dish, crush the garlic. Adjust the amount of garlic, spices and sauces to the quantity of meat you are cooking.
  3. Mix the vegetable oil, vinegar, soy sauce, steak seasoning, black pepper, salt, rosemary, bay leaf and cardamom with a little water.
  4. Pour this mixture over the steak pieces in the pan.
  5. After it comes to a simmer, reduce to very low heat and cook the steaks until done to your liking. Serve with cooked white rice made with a cube of homemade chicken stock, or with pasta, vegetables, or mushroom sauce.
