Ingredients
- 1 kilogram pumpkin, peeled and cut into cubes
- 400 grams minced meat
- 1 kilogram yogurt, whisked with half a cup of water and 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 small head garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon dried mint
- A pinch of seven-spice seasoning
- Oil or ghee
Method
- Saute the minced meat with a little oil or ghee and a pinch of the seasoning until the meat changes color.
- Add the pumpkin cubes over the meat, sprinkle with salt, and stir until the pumpkin pieces soften slightly.
- In another pot, put the yogurt mixture over the heat, stirring until it comes to a boil.
- Add the pumpkin and meat to the yogurt mixture and let it simmer over low heat.
- Crush the garlic, mix it with the dried mint, and add them to the pot. Pumpkin in yogurt will need about half an hour to cook through.
- Serve fluffy vermicelli rice alongside the pumpkin in yogurt.
