Ingredients:

1 cup yellow lentils

1 onion

Cooking oil

Butter

Salt

A pinch of ground cumin

Kibbeh patties (prepared or frozen)

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Boil the lentils until tender.
  2. Chop the onion finely then fry it in oil with a little butter until it lightly browns.
  3. Add it to the cooked lentils and stir. The lentils should have a soup-like, loose consistency.
  4. Bake the kibbeh patties in the oven.
  5. Add the kibbeh to the soup, sprinkle the cumin, and adjust the salt.
  6. Let them simmer for about 15 minutes.
