How to make pizza — an easy recipe you’ll want to try
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 cups warm water (adjust as needed)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 tbsp instant yeast
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- Topping:
- Tomato sauce
- Garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp oregano or dried thyme
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp crushed tomatoes
- Pinch of black pepper
- Salt
- Fresh or mixed bell peppers, green and colored, sliced
- Olives
- Sausage, tuna or pastrami (optional)

Method
- Prepare the dough: dissolve the yeast and sugar in a cup of warm water and wait until it froths.
- In a large bowl, sift the flour and add the salt and oil, then stir.
- Add the activated yeast and water as needed and knead for no more than 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Cover the pizza dough and leave it to rise.
- Prepare the topping: you can add raw bell pepper or lightly season it in a pan with tomato, then add a spoonful of spices and herbs and stir.
- Stretch the dough on a baking sheet brushed with a little oil. Spread the topping, then the pitted olives. You can also add sausage, tuna, or pastrami as desired.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top.
- Place the tray in the oven at medium to high heat until the pizza is cooked and the base is browned, then brown the top.
