- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon salt
- For the filling:
- 600 g ground meat
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baharat (seven-spice blend)
- 1/4 teaspoon sweet spice
- hot or chili to taste
Method
- Boil the potatoes until fully cooked.. mash them well and add butter, milk, and salt, continuing to mash until smooth in texture...
- Fry the minced meat in butter until half-cooked. Add the chopped onion and continue frying.. then add the spices and salt
- Place a second layer of mashed potatoes over the meat filling, and sprinkle crushed cake crumbs over the potato layer..
- Finally, place small pieces of butter over the crushed cake crumbs so the crumbs brown in the oven during baking..
- Put the dish in the oven and leave it for about 40 minutes at 200°C..Timers: 40 min
- Serve the soufflé alongside a green salad..
