A tried-and-true home recipe for chicken kebabs. A flavorful marinade suitable for the whole family, best served with rice or a vegetable salad.

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 kilo boneless chicken
  • Half a bunch of parsley
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 50 g butter at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried coriander
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • Shaping and basting sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Grind the onion, garlic, and parsley in an electric grinder and set aside...
  2. Grind the chicken and add it to the onion and parsley mixture, mixing well. Leave the chicken marinated in this mixture overnight before cooking so it absorbs the flavors thoroughly....
  3. Prepare the wooden skewers for grilling and soak them in water for half an hour before using..
  4. Moisten your hands with the basting sauce and shape the kebabs onto the skewers, preheat the oven and place the kebab skewers on an oven tray lined first with parchment paper ...
  5. Turn on the oven's top and bottom heat at the same time... Cook the kebab skewers for 10 minutes, then remove them from the oven, brush them with the basting sauce prepared earlier, then return them to the oven.
    Timers: 10 min
  6. Repeat this process, brushing the kebabs with the sauce every 10 minutes and returning them to the oven until fully cooked...
