How to Make Strawberry Tart

Strawberry tart is a wonderful, easy, and proven home recipe. You can use the same tart crust with pastry cream and swap the strawberries for any seasonal fruit you prefer or have on hand.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 1 egg yolk at room temperature beaten with vanilla
  • A little water if needed
  • Pastry cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks
  • vanilla
  • Method for preparing the crème pâtissière

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix all the ingredients until a soft dough forms, place it in the refrigerator for one hour, then roll the dough into the tart pan and prick the dough all over with a fork. Place it in the preheated oven at 150°C to brown
  2. When the tart dough is cooked and browned for about 12 minutes, remove it from the oven and let it cool before adding the crème pâtissière and decorating it with fresh strawberries.

  4. 2 cups milk, 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 egg yolks, vanilla
  5. Method for preparing the crème pâtissière:
  6. Put the milk and cornstarch in a pot and mix them cold first, then place them over low heat. Add the sugar and mix well, then add the egg yolks with the vanilla and stir the mixture until it sets and thickens. Remove it from the heat and set it aside to cool before using it to decorate the tart.
