Ingredients

  • 2 eggs with a pinch of vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • A small pinch of baking soda
  • 1 cup hot water with 1 tablespoon instant coffee dissolved in it

Method

  1. First, whisk the eggs with the vanilla for a few minutes, then gradually add the sugar and vegetable oil and continue whisking until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the yogurt over the egg mixture and continue whisking.
  3. Gradually add the sifted flour in batches, along with the salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa.
  4. Meanwhile, dissolve the instant coffee in the cup of hot water, add it to the cake mixture, and mix well with a wooden spoon.
  5. Pour the chocolate cake batter into a cake pan greased with oil or spread with a spoonful of tahini.
  6. Bake the chocolate cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes, or until the cake is fully baked and risen, depending on the strength of your oven.

  7. You can prepare a rich chocolate sauce and pour it over the cake for an even softer, moister result.
