Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons concentrated coffee
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Method

  1. Beat the butter with the sugar in a deep bowl using a handheld electric mixer at medium speed until creamy; add the vanilla and continue beating, then add the coffee while continuing to beat. Mix the flour with the bicarbonate and add it over the sugar-and-coffee mixture, and continue beating until you have a single mass...
  2. Let the dough rest for a few minutes, then shape it into small balls and decorate them with coffee beans or hazelnuts
  3. Arrange the ghraybeh balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each one
  4. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 160°C for 20 minutes or until done
