Caramel Popcorn
Caramel popcorn — great for a movie night at home, a snack, or a light treat for kids. Here’s an easy homemade method. The caramel can also be used in many other recipes.
Caramel popcorn — how about bringing the cinema atmosphere home?! Making popcorn is one of the ways :)
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Popcorn kernels
- Oil
- Salt
- Caramel
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- Small piece of butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Put the sugar in a pan over the heat and stir until it takes on a light brown color.
- Add 1/4 cup water and the small piece of butter and stir quickly for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Turn off the heat, then add the baking powder.
- Note: If the sugar hasn’t fully dissolved, you can strain the caramel.
- In a pot, add oil, popcorn kernels and a pinch of salt.
- Reduce the heat so the kernels pop gently. Shake the pot occasionally so they don’t burn.
- Place the popped corn in a bowl and drizzle the cooled caramel over it.
- Toss so the popcorn absorbs the caramel evenly.
- Spread the caramel popcorn on a tray and let it cool.
- Separate the clusters once cool — they will stick together because of the caramel — then serve. Caramel popcorn
