  • 1 cup fine bulgur
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Marjoram or basil
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of spice
  • 1 head garlic, about 7 cloves
  • Yogurt
  • Dried mint
  • Yogurt method:

Method

  1. Wash the bulgur and soak it in a little water until it swells, then add flour, marjoram or basil, and salt; rub them well by hand, then add a little water and mix well until a cohesive dough forms....
  2. Divide the mixture and take small pieces, shaping them in the palm of your hand into small ball-like dumplings...
  3. Place the yogurt on the heat and drop the zanakel or small dumplings into the yogurt, stirring continuously..
  4. Fry the crushed garlic and add it over the yogurt ...
  5. Spoon the dumplings with the yogurt into serving bowls and garnish with dried mint....
  6. Yogurt preparation:
  7. 1 kilogram yogurt, whisk it in the blender with 2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in a little water ... Place the yogurt mixture on the heat, stirring continuously, then add a little water as needed
