Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups fresh rose petals

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Remove the white base from the rose petals, then wash them well and drain.
  2. Place the rose petals in a suitably sized pot over medium heat with the sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  3. Keep them on the heat for about 20 minutes.
    Timers: 20 min
  4. After that time, increase the heat to high and let the mixture come to a boil.
  5. Let the rose jam boil, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
  6. Remove it from the heat and set it aside to cool.
  7. Transfer the jam into clean glass jars and be sure to seal them tightly once they have cooled completely.
  8. Store the jars of rose jam in the refrigerator.
