Method
- Boil the lentils. While waiting for the lentils to cook, slice the onions and fry them in vegetable oil until they turn brown. When the onions are browned, add a little of the lentil cooking water.
- Then add the fried onions to the lentils and let them boil together for a while. When the lentils are cooked, add the coarse bulgur with a pinch of salt..
- When all the ingredients are cooked, turn off the heat and add a little olive oil over the mujaddara to give it shine, a little softness, and a distinctive flavor.
