  • 4 cups lentils
  • 3 cups coarse bulgur
  • 7 onions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Boil the lentils. While waiting for the lentils to cook, slice the onions and fry them in vegetable oil until they turn brown. When the onions are browned, add a little of the lentil cooking water.
  2. Then add the fried onions to the lentils and let them boil together for a while. When the lentils are cooked, add the coarse bulgur with a pinch of salt..
  3. When all the ingredients are cooked, turn off the heat and add a little olive oil over the mujaddara to give it shine, a little softness, and a distinctive flavor.
