Potato wedges baked in the oven — very tasty. Serve as a great alternative to deep-fried potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes, well washed
  • 1/2 cup vegetable (corn) oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (or dried garlic)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika or sweet red pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • or
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • +
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt + black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cut the potatoes with or without the skin into crescent-shaped wedges or long thick slices.
  2. Mix all the spices with the oil and cheese, then toss them with the potatoes until well coated.
  3. Arrange them side by side on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake at 200°C for about half an hour.
  5. When the wedges are golden and cooked, remove them from the oven.
  6. Serve the potato wedges hot.
