Turkish Kısır salad. Do you know it, or have you heard of it before? It is a little like tabbouleh. Check out the recipe to learn how to make it and the differences between the two dishes
Ingredients
- 2 cups fine bulgur
- 6 radishes
- 7 scallions
- 1/2 bunch parsley
- 1 small cucumber
- 1 small handful fresh mint
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 handful mixed sweet peppers, diced
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil with 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons hot pepper paste or hot pepper molasses
- 3 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- juice of 2 lemons, or more to taste
- pinch of black pepper
Method
- Soak the bulgur in a little water until fully softened, and leave it to soak for about 20 minutesTimers: 20 min
- After the time has passed, rub it with the pomegranate molasses and hot pepper molasses
- Add the vegetables after finely chopping them, and mix
- Add the salt, pepper, oils, and lemon juice, then mix
- Serve the Turkish Kısır salad with lettuce leaves
