Chickpeas with Curry
Chickpeas with curry is a very quick recipe that takes little time, yet the result will look like a complete dish and will be the tastiest thing on the table. A chickpea recipe worth trying!
Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chickpeas
- 3 tablespoons tomato sauce or tomato paste
- Olive oil
- 1 onion
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- Salt + black pepper
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups water
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place a wide skillet over the heat, add the olive oil, and sauté the onion for a few minutes until softened and browned
- Add the crushed garlic with the curry powder and cinnamon stick, and stir for a few minutes
- Add the cooked chickpeas and tomato sauce or paste, and mix until the chickpeas absorb all the flavors
- Add the salt and black pepper, then pour in the water and let the chickpea mixture simmer over low heat
- When the chickpeas and curry come to a boil, raise the heat until the chickpeas absorb the sauce and you can control the thickness as desired
- Serve the chickpeas with curry in a serving dish and garnish with chopped fresh coriander and lemon wedges
