Macaron Cake
A show-stopping macaron cake — a simple sponge covered with vanilla cream and chocolate ganache, decorated with French macarons.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 4 eggs
- A pinch of vanilla
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup liquid milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Filling / white cream
- 1/2 tub liquid whipping cream (about 140 ml)
- Vanilla
- Chocolate ganache
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder or chocolate powder
- 2 squares or half a small bar dark chocolate
- Decoration
- French macarons
- Chocolate sable cookies (optional)

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Beat the eggs with vanilla and lemon zest, then add the sugar and whisk until the mixture becomes pale and thick.
- Add the oil and continue mixing, then add the milk and mix.
- Sift the baking powder with the flour and fold into the batter gently with a spoon, folding from bottom to top without overmixing.
- Grease the cake pan with butter, dust with flour, and pour the macaron cake batter into it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (302°F) for about 1 hour.Timers: 60 min
- Prepare the white vanilla cream by whipping the cream with a little vanilla until firm.
- Prepare the chocolate ganache: heat the cream with the cocoa and add the chocolate, stirring until warmed (remove before boiling).
- When the cake has cooled completely, spread the vanilla cream on top, then pour the ganache and spread it.
