  • 1/2 cup white or red vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced, or 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Hot red pepper or chili, optional
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of ground cardamom, to taste

Method
