Method
- Wash the tomatoes and remove the stems, then cut them into small cubes.
- Put them in a blender and grind them well until smooth, obtaining a thick tomato juice.
- Put it in a pot over the heat and wait for it to boil, then skim off the foam that appears on the surface.
- After it has come to a boil twice or after just a few minutes, take the tomato syrup off the heat.
- Pour the syrup into sterilized jars or washed glass bottles and expose them to the sun to sterilize.
- Pour a little oil on the surface to create a sealing layer and store them for a long time.
- Close the jars or bottles while they are still hot.
