Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • sesame seeds to taste
  • 100 grams butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 6 cups flour, or as needed for the dough
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • a pinch of ground mahaleb
  • a pinch of cake spice (dakka)

Method

  1. \r\n
  2. Beat the eggs well, then gradually add the oil and sugar while continuing to whisk.
  3. Add the butter at room temperature with continuous whisking, then gradually add the orange juice alternating with the flour, baking powder, mahlab, and the cookie spices.
  4. Mix well. Add flour as needed until the batter is homogeneous and soft. Add sesame seeds to taste.
  5. We can shape the cookies using the Thursday/Morqad mold or in any other desired shape.
