Ingredients
- Half a kilo of meat
- A handful of parsley
- 2 medium yellow onions
- A pinch of seven-spice
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of cumin
- Tahini sauce:
- 1 cup tahini
- Juice of half a lemon
- Half a cup water

Method
- Finely chop the onion and parsley, add them to the meat, add the spices and salt as well, and mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Shape them into patties and place them on a tray.
- Put the tray in the oven for 15 minutes to cook the kofta until half done.Timers: 15 min
- Meanwhile, prepare the tahini sauce: in a bowl mix lemon juice, water, tahini and salt until smooth; if the mixture needs more water, add a little to obtain a medium-thin sauce similar to light tarator.
- Add the tahini sauce over the kofta in the tray, then return the tray to the oven, set the heat from below, and let the kofta with tahini simmer for 15 minutes so the kofta cooks through and the sauce thickens.Timers: 15 min
- Serve the kofta with tahini alongside rice cooked with vermicelli.
