- 1 kilogram dried figs, green on the outside and white on the inside
- 1 liter and 1/4 liter of water
- 1/2 kilogram sugar
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 cup walnuts
- 2 tablespoons sesame
- 2 tablespoons anise
- 1 teaspoon mastic
- 1/2 teaspoon citric acid

Method
- Bring the water and sugar mixture to a boil over medium heat, then add the figs cut into medium-sized pieces (or leave them whole if you prefer), stirring occasionally.
- Just before the mixture fully sets, sprinkle in the lemon juice and mastic.
- Fold in the walnuts, almonds, anise, and sesame seeds.
- When it is cooked and the liquid has completely evaporated, set the figs aside to cool, then transfer to airtight jars and store in a dry place.
