Homemade Beef Shawarma
Homemade shawarma has a distinctive flavor that surpasses store-bought versions. Try this beef shawarma with tahini sauce and parsley salad.
Ingredients

- 1 kg beef (thin-cut)
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- shawarma spice mix
- dried coriander
- turmeric or saffron substitute
- hot pepper
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon mastic
- 1 teaspoon mahleb
- Tartar or tahini sauce to accompany the shawarma
- 1 cup tahini
- 3 tablespoons yogurt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- a pinch of parsley
- Shawarma salad
- 1 bunch parsley
- white onion
- sumac
- olive oil
Method

- Mix the spices with the tahini and oil and marinate the beef in this mixture. Leave the beef in the marinade overnight or for 24 hours.Timers: 1440 min
- The next day place the beef in the oven and add onion, tomato, and green pepper.
