Healthy za'atar crackers are a delicious, diet-friendly snack suitable for anyone following a weight-loss plan.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 3/4 cup za'atar — increase to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups water — adjust according to the dough's needs

Method
- Combine the dry ingredients: flour, oats, salt and baking powder.
- Add the za'atar and sesame seeds — adjust the za'atar amount to your preference.
- Stir in the oil, then gradually add the water while mixing.
- The exact amount of water depends on the flour; add enough to form a cohesive dough.
- Place the dough on parchment paper and roll it out thinly with a rolling pin.
- Keep the dough on the parchment and transfer it to your baking tray.
- Cut the dough into small squares or long fingers, as you prefer.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15–20 minutes, depending on your oven, until the crackers are golden.Timers: 20 min
- Remove from the oven once cooked and serve with tea, labneh, cheese, or enjoy as a snack.
