Ingredients
- 1 kilogram boneless chicken
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons hot tikka spice (with chili)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Method
- Wash the boneless or deboned chicken pieces and cut them into medium-sized pieces similar to shish tawook strips, then place them in a colander.
- Transfer the cleaned chicken pieces to a glass bowl and start seasoning them with mixed spices, garlic, salt, tikka spice, soy sauce and lemon juice. Add vegetable oil.
- If tikka spice is not available, it can be replaced with tawook seasoning plus two tablespoons of mustard.
- Let the chicken marinate for at least about one hour.
- After the required time, thread the chicken pieces onto wooden skewers and place them on a wide tray in the preheated oven, grilling them at high heat until fully cooked.
- Serve the grilled chicken skewers with rice and a green salad.
