Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram dried figs
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • half a kilogram walnuts
  • quarter kilogram almonds
  • 2 tablespoons sesame
  • 1/2 teaspoon mastic
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Method

  1. 1- Bring the water and sugar to a boil over high heat.
  2. 2- Cut the figs into medium pieces and add them to the water and sugar, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3- Before the mixture thickens completely, add lemon juice and mastic.
  4. 4- Add the almonds, walnuts, and sesame; once fully cooked and the liquid has dried, let the mixture cool and transfer to airtight jars.
