- Tomato sauce/paste
- Filling:
- Ground meat
- Cinnamon
- Seven-spice mix
- Black pepper

Method
- Slice the eggplant lengthwise into thin strips and deep-fry them in hot oil.
- Set the fried eggplant slices aside and prepare the filling.
- Sauté the ground meat in a little oil, then add the spices and salt and cook until the meat is done.
- Place a spoonful of the filling on each eggplant slice and roll it up into a neat roll.
- Core and stuff some tomatoes and bell peppers as well, if you like.
- Arrange the rolls and stuffed vegetables in a baking dish and pour over a tomato sauce (diluted with water so it doesn't fully cover the vegetables).
- Bake the eggplant and vegetable rolls with the ground meat in the oven until everything is cooked and the sauce has reduced and thickened.
- Serve the eggplant and vegetable rolls with rice.
