Chicken tacos made at home — a fantastic, practical recipe!
Ingredients
- Store-bought tortilla wraps
- Ready-made taco seasoning packet
- Diced tomato
- Finely chopped lettuce
- Mixed cheese: mozzarella + cheddar
- Chicken breasts, diced or sliced
- 1 medium onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- A pinch of pepper
- Sour cream — optional
- Prepared taco sauce

- Hot chili pepper
- Bell pepper
- Salt
- To make the taco sauce:
- Chop the vegetables and sauté them over the heat until softened.
- Note:
- You can substitute chicken with ground or shredded meat.

Method
- Heat a little oil in a large skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté briefly.
- Add the chicken, salt, a pinch of pepper, a pinch of turmeric and the rest of the spices. You can add any seasoning you like for color and flavor. Cook the chicken until done.
- Heat the taco shells in the oven for 5 minutes and warm the tortillas over the gas flame.Timers: 5 min
- Fill the tacos with a little of the chicken mixture and top with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sauce. Finish with a dollop or sprinkle of sour cream.
- Prepare the tortillas the same way and roll them up like a sandwich — that’s a burrito.
- Add salt and spices and stir.
- Blend until you get a smooth-textured taco sauce.
