  • 1 cup oats
  • Chicken breast
  • 1 small onion, grated or 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Pinch pepper
  • Pinch of sweet spice
  • Salt
  • 4 cups water or chicken cooking liquid, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Method

  1. Wash the chicken and boil it with seasonings as desired.
  2. Sauté the onion and chopped garlic in a little oil until softened. Add the grated carrot and chopped parsley and sauté briefly. Add the oats and spices and cover them with water or with the chicken cooking liquid. Stir constantly and let the soup simmer briefly.
  3. Shred the cooked chicken by hand into thin strips and add to the soup.
  4. Leave the oatmeal soup on low heat until the oats are cooked and the broth thickens.
