Ingredients
- 100 grams butter
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla, 3 bananas
- 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1/2 cup powdered milk
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- Grease the cake tin with a little corn oil and dust lightly with flour
- Note: Test the cake with a small wooden skewer and if it comes out dry remove the cake from the oven. After it cools, run a knife around the edges and invert the cake onto a serving plate
Method
- Cream the butter, corn oil, brown sugar and white sugar well.
- Add the eggs one at a time while continuing to beat, then add the vanilla.
- Mash the bananas in a bowl with a spoonful of vinegar to prevent discoloration, then add them to the mixture.
- Add the dry ingredients and fold with a spoon until combined — do not overmix.
- Add the walnuts with a light stir.
- Grease the cake tin with a little corn oil and dust lightly with flour.
- Pour the cake batter into the tin and place it in the center of the oven at 180°C for 40 minutes or until the cake is cooked.Timers: 40 min
