Ingredients
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 plain biscuits, or as needed for the size of the pan (we used a small Pyrex dish)
- 2 apples
- A pinch of cinnamon
- A handful of walnuts
- For garnish:
- Powdered sugar
Method
- Beat the eggs with the vanilla, sugar, and oil well until the sugar dissolves.
- Sift the flour and baking powder, add them to the mixture, then add the milk and mix until combined.
- Place the biscuit pieces in a Pyrex dish greased with butter and dusted with flour.
- Peel the apples, cut them, and arrange the pieces over the biscuits in the Pyrex dish.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples, then the walnuts, then pour in the egg and flour mixture.
- Smooth the surface until even.
- Place the Pyrex in the oven at 200°C for only 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180°C (turn on both the top and bottom heat).Timers: 10 min
- When the apple, biscuit, cinnamon, and walnut cake is done, remove the Pyrex from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes, then sprinkle powdered sugar over the top.Timers: 10 min
- Serve the cake once it has cooled to room temperature.
