Anise Ka\'ak with Yellow Knot: an easy, delicious cookie

Ingredients
- 2 kilos flour
- 1½ cups vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons ghee
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups toasted sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons yellow knot spice or turmeric
- 2½ tablespoons yeast
- 1 cup anise seeds
- 1½ tablespoons ka'ak spice mix
- 1½ tablespoons ground anise
- Warm water as needed
- 2 cups powdered milk

Method
- Combine the dry ingredients first.
- Rub the ingredients well, then begin adding warm water gradually while continuing to rub.
- You will obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Cover and let the dough rest and set aside for about 8 hours.
- After the dough has rested and fermented well, take small portions and shape as desired.
- It is best to shape the dough circles using a mold to obtain neat and attractive ka'ak.
- Bake the anise and yellow knot ka'ak in the oven until cooked for about 12 minutes at 170°C. Do not leave the ka'ak in the oven for a long time to avoid over-browning.
- Remove the ka'ak from the oven and set aside to cool completely before serving.
