Spinach Stew with Rice
Spinach stew with rice — a very tasty homemade recipe. This stew is nutritious; some like to blanch the spinach or pour boiling water over it before cooking. Serve with a squeeze of lemon.
Spinach and Rice Stew.. one of the tastiest and most wholesome stews!!
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 kg fresh spinach
- Coarsely ground meat
- A head of garlic
- A bunch of fresh cilantro (coriander)
- Salt
- Butter
- Lemon juice for serving - to taste
- Hot pepper (chili) to taste

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the spinach very well to remove all the dirt, roughly chop them including the stems, and let them drain
- In a pot.. sauté the meat until it dries and changes color, then add the butter with the crushed garlic and chopped cilantro and stir a little without letting them brown
- Add the spinach on top with salt so that the spinach retains its green color, and stir
- Cover the pot so they wilt faster, stirring occasionally
- You can add hot pepper as desired
- When the spinach stew is cooked, serve it with fluffy rice
