Rose Jam

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 4 tablespoons water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups fresh rose petals
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Remove the white base from the rose petals, then wash them well and drain.
- Place the rose petals in a suitably sized pot over medium heat with the sugar, water, and lemon juice.
- Keep them on the heat for about 20 minutes.Timers: 20 min
- After that time, increase the heat to high and let the mixture come to a boil.
- Let the rose jam boil, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- Remove it from the heat and set it aside to cool.
- Transfer the jam into clean glass jars and be sure to seal them tightly once they have cooled completely.
- Store the jars of rose jam in the refrigerator.
