Marshmallows
This is one of the rare times marshmallows are made this easily at home. What stands out about this recipe is that it uses very few ingredients and is made without eggs.

- Vegetarian gelatin

- Grease the glass dish (Pyrex) with vegetable oil and dust it with fine starch, then pour in the marshmallow mixture.

Method

- Place a small amount of vegetarian gelatin in half a cup of cold water and leave it for 5 minutes so the gelatin absorbs the water.Timers: 5 min
- Meanwhile, prepare step 2...
- Place 2 cups of sugar in a pot with half a cup of water over low heat until the sugar dissolves, then let it boil for about 7 minutes.Timers: 7 min
- Place the gelatin in the electric mixer, then add the boiling syrup in a thin stream while the mixer is running at high speed. Whisk for about 10 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and white. At this stage, add the flavor and color.Timers: 10 min
- Let the marshmallow dry overnight at room temperature, without refrigerating, then cut it as desired the next day.
- Note: The marshmallow made in this recipe, as shown in the photo, was flavored and colored with strawberry and pineapple, but you can use whatever flavors and colors you prefer or have on hand.
- The vegetarian gelatin used in this recipe is essential and cannot be replaced with regular Jello.
