Ingredients
- 3 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk powder
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- A pinch of baking soda
- 1 cup Miranda or any available soft drink
- A pinch of salt
Method
- Start by whisking the eggs well with a pinch of vanilla.
- Gradually add the sugar to the eggs and continue whisking well until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes creamy.
- Add the vegetable oil and continue whisking for two minutes, then add the Mirinda soda (or any available carbonated drink).
- Continue whisking and also add the white vinegar.
- Meanwhile, sift the flour with the baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt, and gradually add them to the egg mixture while continuing to whisk.
- Grease the cake pan with a little tahini and pour in the Mirinda cake batter; put the pan in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45 minutes or until the cake is cooked, depending on your oven.Timers: 45 min
