An easy homemade molten chocolate cake recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 medium tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sweet Nesquik cocoa

  • Note:
  • You can make the cake batter without Nesquik to get a plain white cake and simply top it with chocolate sauce and fill the center opening with it.

Method

  1. Beat the eggs, sugar, and oil until you have a smooth, creamy white mixture
  2. Add the sifted flour with the vanilla and baking powder and mix well
  3. Mix the baking soda and vinegar first until they foam, then add them to the cake batter and mix... the vinegar and soda help prevent any eggy smell and make the cake tender and rise well
  4. Take a quarter of the cake batter and add the Nescau (chocolate powder), stirring well until you get the desired chocolate batter
  5. Add the chocolate mixture into the white batter and mix
  6. Brush the pan with a little oil and dust with flour, or grease the pan with tahini, then pour the cake batter into the pan
  7. Bake the cake in the oven on the middle rack for one hour (or depending on your oven) at 180°C... and it's important not to open the oven at all
  8. After the cake is done, leave it in the oven without opening it for 10 minutes

  9. Then remove it from the oven and put chocolate sauce into the center hole of the cake and also drizzle over the cake
