Ingredients

  • 3 eggs at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 can Qimar cream (thick cream)
  • 1 cup mashed dates, soaked in 1 cup boiling water for 30 minutes
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar for two minutes, then add the vanilla, oil, cream and the soaked dates purée and continue beating
  2. Add the flour, cardamom, cinnamon and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and mix well
  3. Place the batter in a pan greased with tahini or butter and dusted with flour ..
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for fifty minutes or according to your oven's strength
  5. When the cake has cooled to room temperature, decorate it with ready-made caramel sauce and serve
