Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed corn flakes
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar — can be substituted with white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 small cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg

Method

  1. In a bowl, put the egg, sugar, and vanilla and beat well, then add the melted butter and beat again, then add the corn flakes, baking powder, and baking soda while continuing to beat.
  2. Add the flour and mix well by hand, then add the chocolate chips and mix briefly without overmixing so the chips don’t break or melt.
  3. Refrigerate the corn flakes cookie dough for half an hour.
  4. After the time has passed, roll the dough into balls and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper, press them slightly, and place some chocolate chips on top.
  5. Place the tray into a preheated oven at 190°C for about 20 minutes or until the cookies turn light brown.
    Timers: 20 min
  6. Brown the tops.
  7. Let the corn flakes and chocolate chip cookies cool to room temperature before serving.
